Ana is a passionate Graphic and Industrial Designer leading the Wayfinding and Environmental Graphics Practice at GAI’s Community Solutions Group (CSG)
Ana Oropeza is the Director of Wayfinding and Environmental Graphics in GAI's Community Solutions Group (CSG). With 9 years of experience (7 in wayfinding design and planning), she is a passionate Graphic and Industrial Designer, who is vastly skilled with product design and development, branding, and corporate identity. Ms. Oropeza is self-motivated, creative, versatile, and knowledgeable in both 2D and 3D design work. Her background in industrial design gives her extensive knowledge of fabrication and materials, as well as experience with construction documents for retail commercial interior renovations and build-out supervision. She has both analytic and creative thinking—allowing her concepts to be data driven and data oriented. Her designs are well thought out and consider the project character and goals. Research plays a big part in her design methodology. Ana has worked to create a brand and a sense of place on national and international projects for cities/communities, including Orlando, Daytona Beach, Kuala Lumpur, Sebastian, and Naples. She’s created unique systems for tourist areas around the country like Buena Park, CA and I-Drive in Orlando, Fl. She has experience in trails and parks wayfinding with Alexandria, Gainesville, and Oklahoma City as examples. She has also performed on campus wayfinding for the University of Florida, Central Michigan University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Virginia State University. |
