I have served numerous industries from managing a tree trimming business before returning to school to become a biochemist. I received my B.S. from the University of Evansville and a M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Louisville. I spent 10 years in the chemical manufacturing arena as an R&D chemist and Quality/Analytical Chemist before returning to the green lumber industry.
I am currently the Eastern Division Quality Assurance Manager of stave mills for Independent Stave Company. We cut and manufacture all of the staves and heading pieces that go into the spirit and wine barrels produced at our cooperages. I am an avid traveler with the desire for life-long learning. I work as hard to manage and better my personal self as I do to improve business quality. |
