Brian J. Fitzpatrick serves as Head of Diversity & Inclusion (“D&I”) at Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA), a Tampa-based online higher education provider with close to 15,000 students nationally and more than 2,000 employees. As part of UMA’s Corporate Strategy team, Brian founded UMA’s D&I Council. This cross-departmental team has been tasked with delivering foundational events, communications, and awareness around the topic.
Through the efforts of this Council, Brian successfully launched a mentorship program, hosted and conducted trainings on unconscious bias and inclusivity, and established programming in line with UMA’s demographics. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Florida Diversity Council’s Board of Directors. Brian has extensive international business experience, including four years based out of Brazil. His prior roles have included business development, strategic planning, and process improvement. He is also a passionate champion of wildlife conservation, and has actively supported both the Kenya-based Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (where he has adopted an orphan elephant, Murit) and the Zimbabwe-based Painted Dog Conservation. Brian received his undergraduate degree (Latin American Studies) from New York University and an MBA (Marketing, Technology Management) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. |
