Cindy Purpura, originally from Upstate New York, is Area Director of Sales for a group of Marriott and Hilton hotels in the Sarasota-Bradenton area. She has extensive experience in the hotel industry, both in Operations and in Sales & Marketing. Cindy has opened new construction hotels in multiple cities, led teams in each department including as General Manager, and has been a Marriott certified trainer in both Guest Service and Sales & Marketing. Her success in these roles afforded her the opportunity and exposure to a variety of markets and cultures, strengthening her ability to connect and foster exceptional, binding relationships.
Previously, Cindy owned her own business and has held leadership roles in the medical device industry leading sales teams, and training throughout North America. She spearheaded and wrote the training curriculum for the Sales Associate Program. Cindy recruited, hired, trained, and assessed recent college graduates who desired a career in sales. In year 2, this team won top performing sales team in the U.S. She is dynamic, engaging, and an innovative, proven performer with a cumulative reputation for vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science in Management, in addition to a dozen certifications, including Certified Coach and Sales Trainer through AchieveGlobal. Throughout her career, she has won numerous, prestigious awards for her leadership and sales performance. Cindy specializes in creating and developing high performance, award-winning teams, and thoroughly enjoys watching those she has mentored, excel to do the same. She is an active member of the Manatee County Healthcare Committee, Sarasota-Bradenton Hotel Committee, Tampa Bay Marriott Business Council, and volunteers as many hours as she can to help a variety of children’s charities. Among her favorite things, Cindy loves family time, traveling, and shopping for shoes, but nothing tops spending time with her two daughters. |
