As Director, Corporate Communications, David's responsibilities include serving as the chief of content for Crowley, a privately-held, family- and employee-owned company that provides worldwide logistics, government, marine and energy solutions. He leads Crowley communications including products that are print, digital, video and other multimedia such as news releases, webpages and blogs, and social media. David also leads development and execution of the company's employee communications strategy and execution in email, intranet channels and social media. In addition, he manages media relations and crisis communications strategy, planning and execution, including during crisis management situations. He serves on the steering committee of the Crowley Cares philanthropic program.
David joined Crowley in 2016. He previously served as communications director at the City of Jacksonville, and as a staff writer at the Tampa Bay Times in St. Petersburg, Fla., and the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in journalism and public affairs. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Children's Chorus, and the Advisory Board of the Marine Science Research Institute in Jacksonville. He is a member and former chapter leader of the International Association of Business Communicators. |
