Anand Kumar - Faculty Advisor
Associate Professor of Marketing, USF Muma College of Business As Associate Professor of Marketing for USF Muma College of Business, Anand teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on Consumer Behavior and Brand Management. His research interests revolve around consumer psychology, with a focus on cognitive and emotional reactions to marketing communications and products and services. He earned his Ph.D. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington. Anand has been the Faculty Advisor for the USF Digital Marketing Certificate Program since its inception. Prior to joining USF in 2005, Anand taught at Southern Illinois University and Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Business. |
Sam Mallikarjunan
Head of Marketing, BirdEye.com Sam is Head of Marketing at BirdEye.com, a SaaS startup enabling small businesses to win at online marketing by leveraging their most powerful marketers of all - their happy customers. He is the former Head of Growth at HubSpot Labs and has taught Advanced Digital Marketing at the university level, as well as Innovation Management and Marketing Analytics at USF. With his energetic approach as a digital marketing instructor for multiple universities, Sam strives to provide students with a curriculum focused on frameworks for building modern growth engines. As a consultant, he brings an outsider's fresh perspective to guide seasoned teams to identify areas of opportunity and develop specific plans with attainable goals. Sam is co-author of the book How To Sell Better Than Amazon, which is, thanks to the publisher, ironically available for purchase on Amazon. |

Senior Manager of Growth Marketing, HubSpot Sam Awezec is the Senior Manager of Growth Marketing at HubSpot, where he focuses on running experiments through both traditional marketing efforts and within the product, with the goal of monetizing their free user base. His background includes the technology industry, project and personnel management, growth experimentation, and behavioral based nurturing. During his time at HubSpot, he scaled the freemium support team for the sales products division from inception. He successfully launched the HubSpot community (community.hubspot.com) which now serves all HubSpot users. During this time, he also assisted in efforts to automate sales prospecting, in turn, assisting in developing a new go-to-market playbook for the middle and bottom of the funnel. |
Matt Bailey
Founder and President, SiteLogic Marketing With over 20 years in the online marketing industry, Matt Bailey excels in combining his marketing background with programming know-how to help companies create comprehensive strategies that improve web presence and conversions. Matt was an internet entrepreneur in the early 90's, which led to his development in SEO. After selling his first venture, he worked as a software engineer and then built the online marketing departments at two agencies. Eric Blankenship
Vice President of Marketing, Tampa Bay Lightning Eric Blankenship has accumulated over 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the sports, facility and entertainment industry. He has worked for organizations including Comcast-Spectacor, Global Spectrum, Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Philadelphia 76ers. As the Vice President of Marketing for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Eric is responsible for branding, advertising, media buying, promotions, digital marketing, digital media, social media, live events, and creative services. He also oversees all marketing efforts for Tampa Bay Sports, the retail division of the organization. In addition, he is the primary liaison with all other departments such as ticket sales, premium seating, public relations, community relations, community hockey, broadcast, concessions, partnership sales and activation. |

VP and General Manager of North America Digital Commerce Group, Coca-Cola John is a proven Senior Executive and Board Member with 30 years of success in consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, packaging, and manufacturing. In his career, he's held leadership positions in brand, sales, commercial and operations at organizations including The Coca-Cola Company and Procter & Gamble. As the VP and General Manager of the Coca-Cola North America Digital Commerce Group, John leads the development and overall management of the Digital Commerce vision and roadmap, including commercial and marketing strategies, customer development, and new business models. |
Kim Gnatt
Principal Digital Strategy Consultant, Kim Digital Kim is a business and marketing strategist, synthesizer, and innovative thought leader who combines her expertise in digital, mobile, loyalty, and communications to drive brand love and business impact for brands and start-ups. With roots in media planning, direct marketing, and eCommerce, she has built and lead teams in a cross section of industries (home improvement, fashion, consumer packaged goods, retail, e-tail) and with incredible brands (The Home Depot and most recently Coca-Cola). Sue Grabowski
CEO, Desidara Sue Grabowski founded Grabowski & Co. in 1997. The firm, which was rebranded Desidara in 2018, provides communications strategy and execution primarily for Fortune 500 manufacturers, health care systems and professional-services firms. Clients include The Timken Company, TimkenSteel, Morgan Engineering, Continental, Akron Children’s Hospital and The Pro Football Hall of Fame. Sue applies a process-driven approach to marketing communications, a critical differentiator when introducing digital tactics and working with in-house IT teams or third-party resources. In 2014, Sue partnered with Rob Kemmer, a software engineer, to launch Squawqr Mobile Media, a mobile-first digital platform that is now marketed by other agencies around the country. |
