Kal Gajraj is the Chief Marketing Officer at Florida Grand Opera. Under his guidance, Kal oversees all marketing, branding, social media and public relations. Kal, originally from New York, grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL. and received an Associates degree in Journalism and Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Florida International University. Kal also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration, with an emphasis on Economic and Community Development from the University of Miami. In addition, Kal is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified in process improvement.
Kal spent the last 20 years working across several industries including luxury retail, education and entertainment. Some professional positions include Public Relations & Events Manager for Birks & Mayors Jewelers, Brand Manager for Florida Panthers NHL Hockey Team and Director of Marketing and Communications for DeVry University, Keller Graduate School of Management and Charter Schools USA. Among individual high points in his career, Kal served as a brand ambassador for Birks & Mayors as the Official Jeweler of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic and again in 2012 as the brand ambassador for DeVry Education Group as the Official Education Provider the Summer Olympics in London. Kal currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. |
