Lafayette is the SVP of Corp IT, Global Shared Services Technology at Nielsen, which includes: Corp IT Enterprise Architecture, Global CRM enablement and support, Cloud oversight, Mobile deployment, nielsen.com; global iShare environment, N-Score Mobile Application, Global Performance Dashboard, Answers Portal, Shared Platforms and ServiceNow, the global Enterprise Software Management tool. Prior to this role, Lafayette was a BPI Leader, responsible for overseeing the Nielsen Black Belt Leadership Program supporting GBS’ Enabling Technology organization. He is responsible for ensuring the quality delivery and simplification of technology products that support Nielsen’s clients and internal associates globally.
Prior to joining Nielsen in February 2013, Lafayette spent more than 25 years across various industries, including Defense, Government, Technology, Scientific, Healthcare, and Financial. He has held multiple positions in his career, ranging from Communications Analyst, Lead Developer and Manager, Director of Technology and Implementation, and to Senior Vice President in charge of Technology for Citigroup’s Cards Division, just prior to joining Nielsen. Lafayette has helped organizations re-engineer their Systems Development Life Cycle, using CMM processes and deployed major financial systems resulting in considerable cost savings across various industries. Lafayette holds a Bachelor of Science (Magma Cum Laude) degree in Management Information Systems, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and is also a certified Project Manager. In his spare time, Lafayette sits on the Board of Grace for Glory Global Ministries, which supports disadvantaged children in the north Florida area and Haiti. “We are what we repeatedly do; excellence then is not an act, but a habit”-- Aristotle |
